How to choose a deep well submersible pump for 3”(75mm) or 4”(100mm) diameter deep well, so we can water for garden, home, domestic or irrigation?

When we are going to buy or choose a deep well pump, we will see many kinds of water pumps in the market. Sometimes we get confused because of the seller's introduction, and even buy a pump that we don't need or don't suitable at a high price. so Which pump is right for our well, and how to choose a deep well pumps now?

we make deep well pumps for 15 years, our suggestion is here, First of all, we need to know roughly how deep our well is and how high is the water surface to ground surface? Also, how much water do we need, one cube per hour, or two cubes per hour, or three cubes or ten cubes per hour etc. 

In most cases, if the depth of the well is less than 7.5 meters (25 feet) and the water level is not deep or relatively shallow, it is suitable to use a peripheral vortex pump (such as QB60,DB125 pump), centrifugal pump (such as CPM130,CPM158 pump), or a self-priming Jet pump (such as GP800,JET100 pump), these pump's biggest suction are 8 meters , inlet pipe diameter have 1", 1.5", 2" for choose. it is better the pipe assemble a check valve on the end.

1st, we can use peripheral vortex pump if we need water 1m3/hour to 3m3/hour.2nd, we can use Jet pump if we need water 3m3/hour to 6m3/hour. 3rd, we can use centrifugal pump if we need water 3m3/hour to 25m3/hour etc.

Above pumps can satisfy most use of water, and the price is cheaper. But these pumps can only be used temporarily for deep wells, because their main function is high lift, not suction, which is actually a waste of this kinds of pumps.

As the environment changes, the drought intensifies, the water level is getting deeper and deeper, the centrifugal pump, jet pump can no longer be competent, and the deep well submersible pump is the best choice.

The deep well pump is divided from the outer diameter size: 2" deep well pump and 3" deep well pump  , 4" deep well pump, 5" deep well pump, 6" deep well pump, 8" deep well pump, 10" deep well pump, 12" deep well pump, we mainly talk about 3" deep well pump and 4" deep well pump today.

3" deep well pump: The maximum outer diameter of the 3" deep well pump is 3" (75mm), it can be put into a minimum 3" diameter deep well, the maximum lift is from 20 meters to 230 meters based on different power and impellers, and the maximum flow is from 2.5 cubic meters to 5.5 cubic meters.

4" deep well pump: The maximum outer diameter of the 4" deep well pump is 4" (100mm), it can be put into a minimum 4" diameter deep well, the maximum lift is from 20 meters to 450 meters, and the maximum flow is from 4.2 cubic meters to 25 cubic meters.

3” deep well pump is widely used because of easy well drilling and pump cheap price, which can meet the needs of domestic water and garden irrigation. The main hot-sales pump models are 3SDM2/8-0.37KW (0.5hp), the max flow is 3.5m3/hour, the max head is 37 meters, 3SDM2/11-0.55KW(0.75hp), the max flow is 3.5m3/hour, the max head is 50 meters, 3SDM2/17-0.75KW(1.0hp), the max flow is 3.5m3/hour, the max head is 75 meters, etc.
